Module 2 is required before Modules 3, 4 and 5.
Refrigeration fundamentals and air conditioner operation. Practical work includes brazing, flaring, vacuuming and other core skills, plus terminology, inverter technology, refrigerant and electrical circuits, error codes and hands-on troubleshooting.
M3
Fundamentals and operating principles of heat pumps, air to water components, water and refrigerant circuits, controls, fan coil units and underfloor heating. Practical work, discussion and workshop.
M4
Fundamentals of VRF systems and water chillers, operating principles and applications, connection diagrams and installation, controls, fault detection and troubleshooting.
M5
Refrigerant circuit fundamentals, operating principles and applications, connection diagrams and complete air conditioner installation from drilling to commissioning. A 2.5 kW air conditioner is included in the price.
M6
Sizing, installation, commissioning and airflow balancing.
M7
When a hybrid system makes sense, the bivalent point, hydraulic integration, controls and commissioning, with guest lecturers from manufacturers.
M8
Pumps, hydraulic balancing, separators and buffer tanks, valves and controls. Connects heat pumps, water chillers and fan coil units, with guest lecturers from manufacturers.
